Ashe County Schools
The Ashe County School system serves the entire county and is comprised of three elementary schools, one middle school and one new high school. The teachers and staff of the Ashe County schools are committed to the students and the community as well. As a result of their great commitments, almost every one of the Ashe County schools in the system meet all of their goals per the No Child Left Behind Act, and continue to be motivated for excellence.
The newly built Ashe County High School boasts a large new facility, and students enjoy the competitive academic program as well as the interesting vocational studies programs that Ashe County High School offers.
Students from our Ashe County schools are motivated for college and well prepared. Most students commute or go to other schools in nearby counties when furthering their education. In nearby Wilkes County there is Wilkes Community College, and in Watauga County students can attend Caldwell Community College’s satellite campus in Boone. Also, Boone NC is home to Appalachian State University, an award winning liberal arts four year college.
The Ashe County schools work with the community to educate and prepare our students for the rest of their lives. With outstanding schools and brand new facilities, students are given every opportunity to succeed.
